Staying competitive in a faster moving market is one of today’s key challenges for corporations. BCR has chosen to embrace Agile values and principles to meet customer needs better and quicker. This also means introducing adaptive project life cycle models and new roles in delivering projects.

Get insights on what are the Agile Journey activities that have started in BCR and how people and project management policy are prepared for this endeavor. Hear about practical experience. Learn how this change impacts the role and responsibilities of the Project Manager. The presenters will connect both hands-on experience and methodology.

About the Speaker and Panel Members:

Diana Stanga, PMP

As Head of Retail Project Management Team in BCR, Diana is leading the team of project managers responsible for delivering IT projects for retail area.

She brings experience of more than 10 years in IT change management within the banking industry in several roles. Having worked with local and global project teams to deliver technology projects of varying size and complexity, Diana is able to support her team by providing both hands on, effective project management expertise and coaching.

Diana is currently enabling and supporting BCR’s pathway from shifting from a predictive only approach in delivering projects to an adaptive one as well.

Andreas Madjari, PMP

As Project Management Governance Specialist in Erste Group, Andreas contributes to improving Project Management within the Group. Responsible for the group wide Project Management Policy, he recently created and aligned a policy update embracing adaptive methodologies based on the latest PMI Standards. In addition, he acts as internal trainer for project management related topics, supports project managers and performs projects review. His performance is based on more than 10 years of leading projects and continuous self-development. His origins and background in banking IT help him understand the challenges in a technology driven business. Andreas is currently Director at Large Information Technology of the PMI Southern Germany Chapter and has volunteered in technology related roles for PMI Chapters for more than five years.

Marilena Ignat(Dumitru)

Marilena has over 12 years of experience in the banking industry, in Front office roles, Risk management, Portfolio management and Project management. After driving complex implementations, she took a key role in defining an integrated change management process across BCR.  In 2017 she centralized the project management function and implemented a dedicated Project Management tool.

Marilena is currently Executive Director of Project Management Division in BCR, coordinating teams of project managers that tackle both IT & non-IT initiatives, across all business areas.

Cristian Mustata

Cristian is a “Digital Expert”. He is very passionate about technology and customer experience in banking, and has over 10 years experience in developing and delivering digital products.  He started his career as internet banking officer and later became business analyst. Cristian is currently managing the Digital Strategy of BCR, acting as Product Owner for the implementation of the new BCR digital platform.

Madalina Ciupala

In the last 5 years Madalina has implemented various local and global projects in large software & banking companies. She is a supporter of Agile methodology and continuous self-development, actively looking for methods of accelerating  and simplifying projects implementation. Madalina is currently part of BCR Project Management team, acting as Scrum Master for a strategic project.
