1.     Management summary

The PMI Romania Board of Directors is introducing the elections as of 2020 (end of the year) for vacant positions, in order to ensure a complete Board that will perform better in the best interest of the membership, secure continuity, avoid knowledge drain and be compliant with the PMI guidelines. Following positions will be subject for election:

The function will be executed during a two years period starting the date of validation by the Election Committee.

2.     Election process general description 

  • Suitable candidates can apply for a Board function by submitting their nominations, application and information to the Committee for Nominating and Elections, consisting of minimum 3 (three) members.
  • The approval of the candidates is done by the Committee for Nominating and Elections before the PMI Romania Chapter members can vote.

The candidates receiving the highest number of votes from the PMI Romania Chapter members will take the positions.

Application form to be received from the candidates

Application form to be received from the candidates 

Candidates should submit their applications for the positions before the date established and published by the Election Committee to email address: elections@pmi.ro. Documents format:  word, adobe, jpeg, ppt

The application will contain the following documents:

  1. PMI confidentiality agreement, as completed and signed by the candidate (Annex 1) – in English
  2. PMI conflict of interest questionnaire and ethics certification, as completed and signed by the candidate (Annex 2) – in English
  3. Application letter, as completed and signed by the candidate (Annex 3) – we recommend candidates use MS Word for filling-in) – choose English or Romanian
  4. One recommendation letter from the PMI RO members (free format) – choose English or Romanian
  5. Curriculum Vitae – choose English or Romanian

Signing the documents: Possibility to sign the documents:

the documents may be signed and dated using the signing features of PDF format OR

print the completed documents, sign it, scan it and submit it (you should sign every page of the application form)

Message to the elections@pmi.ro will contain:

  1. Subject: application form for the position [name of the position]
  2. Body Massage: free format/to be written by applicant
  3. Attached: the completed, signed and dated documents, as requested for application:

3.     Positions open for election

 Vice President for Training and Certification

 Eligibility criteria 

  • The candidate must be a PMI Romania Chapter member in good standing;
  • The candidate should have previous volunteering work with the PMI Romania Chapter;
  • The candidate may not be made a party to any civil, criminal, administrative, or investigative action or preceding that can harm PMI.org, a PMI Chapter or the Project Management Profession in general. 
  • The candidate must be in good faith;
  • The candidate may not have a commercial relation with PMI or have the intention to receive any pecuniary gain, benefit or profit, incidental or otherwise, from the activities, financial accounts and resources of the PMI Romania Chapter, except as otherwise provided in these bylaws;
  • The candidate is willing to fill in and sign:

o PMI confidentiality agreement;

o PMI conflict of interest questionnaire and ethics certification.

  • The candidate must show interest, experience and maturity to conduct the Vice Pressident function;
  • The candidate will present one recommendation letter from the current PMI RO Members.

The elected candidate will come into function as of January 1st after the election and will stay in function for the following 2 years.

Vice President for Communication and Publicity

Eligibility criteria 

  • The candidate must be a PMI Romania Chapter member in good standing;
  • The candidate should have previous volunteering work with the PMI Romania Chapter;
  • The candidate may not be made a party to any civil, criminal, administrative, or investigative action or preceding that can harm PMI.org, a PMI Chapter or the Project Management Profession in general; 
  • The candidate must be in good faith;
  • The candidate may not have a commercial relation with PMI or have the intention to receive any pecuniary gain, benefit or profit, incidental or otherwise, from the activities, financial accounts and resources of the PMI Romania Chapter, except as otherwise provided in these bylaws; 
  • The candidate is willing to fill in and sign: 

o PMI confidentiality agreement; 

o PMI conflict of interest questionnaire and ethics certification.

  • The candidate must show interest, experience and maturity to conduct the Vice-President function;
  • The candidate should have one recommendation letter from the current PMI RO Members;
