PMI Romania Supports The Great Walk: A Cross-European Initiative for Social Impact

This summer, PMI Romania joins a groundbreaking collaboration with PMI Switzerland and six other European Chapters: Netherlands, Belgium, Madrid, Barcelona, Poland, and our own PMI Romania, in support of THE GREAT WALK. This inspiring campaign is led by Andrew and Toby, two formerly homeless men from Homeless Entrepreneur, as they walk over 880 kilometers across five countries, from Linz to Madrid, to raise awareness about homelessness and social exclusion.

The mission of Homeless Entrepreneur is to promote economic empowerment and reduce poverty through active citizenship and strategic partnerships. Their goal is to help people experiencing social exclusion improve their quality of life by fostering work opportunities and civic engagement.

PMI’s role extends beyond facilitating project management; it’s about leading with purpose and making meaningful societal contributions. By supporting THE GREAT WALK, PMI emphasizes its commitment to social responsibility, leveraging our skills in leadership, communication, and community engagement to amplify the campaign’s message across Europe.

This initiative is more than a walk. It’s a movement that calls for visibility, empathy, and collective action. It shows how principles of project management like leadership, planning, and collaboration can be directed toward creating positive change in society.

We invite all members and partners to follow the journey, share the story, and explore opportunities to get involved.

Together, we can walk the talk and make a difference.
